VOLTSTORAGE CPO selected one of the FORBES 30 Under 30

Forbes Magazine selects Felix Kiefl (CPO) as one of the 30 most interesting personalities under the age of 30.

Munich, 05 June 2018 – Since 2011, the renowned Forbes magazine annually presents the “Forbes 30 Under 30”. It honors the 30 most interesting personalities under the age of 30 who are changing the world with their actions. VoltStorage CPO Felix Kiefl is amongst the chosen personalities of the German-speaking countries and was awarded in the category “Technology”.

According to Klaus Fiala, editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine, the key factor for the award is the life of the “Under 30s”. The most important aspect, however, is the impact the award winners make with what they do: “No impact, no relevance”. With this award, Forbes Magazine’s jury honors Felix Kiefl’s contribution to the development of the world’s first low-cost solar energy storage system for private households based on Vanadium Redox Flow (VRF) technology.

This was made possible by VoltStorage’s patent-pending production process, which for the first time allows the automated and thus cost-effective production of redox flow batteries. This allows to establish a storage technology in the market, which is free from rare or conflict raw materials. The VRF technology is also fully recyclable and offers high operational reliability and longevity.

Felix Kiefl studied Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering (TU Munich) with a specialization in Energy Storage Systems. Prior to VoltStorage, Felix received a scholarship from the Bavarian Elite Academy and worked, among others, in the automotive sector at Continental and BMW. Felix is CPO and co-founder of VoltStorage, where he is responsible for product development (including electronics and IT) as well as production and logistics.
