We are a young and rapidly growing startup from Munich, which is pursuing the goal of making renewable energies available around the clock. To achieve this goal, we are developing power storage systems that enable households with photovoltaic systems to use their self-produced solar power more efficiently – and thus sustainably achieve greater energy independence and optimize their CO2 footprint.
We rely on the particularly durable vanadium redox flow technology, which has been successfully used in large scale storage systems for years. Thanks to our patented manufacturing process, we are the first company in the world to offer home battery storage based on the safest (non-flammable) storage technology and establish an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional lithium storage that is currently on the market.

For the online application at VoltStorage you do not need a cover letter and at first also no certificates. Simply send us your CV or link to your Xing- / LinkedIn profile. VoltStorage is a start-up that aims to avoid wasting resources. Therefore, please do not apply by post. We prefer the online application form which you will find at the end of each job advertisement.

The team at VoltStorage is a diverse mix of many different nationalities. That is why our corporate language is English. If the advertised position does not explicitly require German language skills, conversation-proof English skills are completely sufficient.

If the feedback is positive, we will invite you to a short interview on the phone in which both sides can get to know each other better in advance and you will get a better insight into the advertised position. If this interview proves positive from your and our point of view, we invite you to a first personal interview.

Depending on the position in question, there may also be a second subsequent personal interview. The purpose of these personal interviews is to give you the opportunity to get as many impressions as possible of us and to get to know your future colleagues as well as possible. It is important to us that we hire employees who will be with us on our path to success in the long term. That’s why we do our best to show you how we work, what we value and what we believe in. VoltStorage is a start-up company that values individuality and professionalism. This means that of course each employee can wear what he/she considers appropriate in the work environment and what he/she feels comfortable with.
That means: yes, even a T-shirt is perfectly okay for the job interview. We trust that every employee is able to judge for him/herself which clothes are appropriate in which situation. We don’t believe there must be a rule for everything.

Questions about working at VoltStorage

As you might know, in German when you talk to strangers or as a sign of respect you use the formal “Sie” pronoun when addressing someone directly (similarly to using the last name in English). At VoltStorage, right from the start we use the informal “Du” pronoun, since it helps to remove barriers and create a pleasant atmosphere. We hope you see it the same way. If you do not, let us know!
It is important to us that you feel comfortable with us, that you can familiarize yourself in peace and get to know all colleagues. We do not believe in throwing new colleagues in at the deep end, and will hence support you as best as we can during your training.
In addition to general information that we make available to our new employees, you will receive systematic technical training from your future supervisor or colleague. We are already looking forward to our first lunch break with you!

We at VoltStorage all have one goal in mind and that is to revolutionize the energy market and thus make a major contribution to the success of the energy transition. To do something meaningful unites us all and lets us pull together. Everyone at VoltStorage is given a great deal of freedom for their work. In return, we are happy about innovative ideas that push VoltStorage forward.

It doesn’t matter if you only have a small idea or possibly even a groundbreaking suggestion. In order to promote innovative capabilities, we offer our employees great flexibility in the division of working hours. No matter whether part-time, full-time, home office, etc. we are open to your wishes and try to reconcile these in the best possible way with the interests of the company.

Of course, coffee and fruits (for free) are also a must in our fully equipped kitchen. It is simply fun to relax with a colleague in our lounge area in the afternoon and take a short break.
